Blind Draw Best 2 of 4

Our next event, the Blind Draw Best 2 of 4, is scheduled for Sunday, October 16 with tee times starting at 10:00AM. The blind draw is a unique event that provides players the opportunity to compete as a team with players from different flights.

All players will be placed into a pool based on handicaps. We will draw names from the groups that have been equally divided by the total number of players. If we have 60 players, the top 15 handicaps will be in "group A", the next 15 "group B", and so on. Then names will be picked out of a hat, 1 from each group to make up the team. Everyone will play from the Green tees. Everyone will play their own ball throughout the event and then the best 2 of 4 net scores will be added up to make the hole score for the team. It will be a handicapped event and it will allow for members to get to play with other members they may never get to play with.

Following the event, players are invited to gather in the clubhouse to enjoy a beverage and socialize with those who have finished. Your entry fee includes a drink ticket (issued at check-in) to get you started.
You are urged to stick around and rehash the round with your partners and fellow club members.

In past years, this event has included a dinner, featuring voting to recommend ERMGC board members for 2012. This year, the balloting for board members will be conducted via email.

2011 Points Cup

The Points Cup is a year long event, like the Fed EX Cup on the PGA tour. In each of our events, the top 10 players in each flight get points according to the place they finish in. Your points get added up through out the year regardless of the flight you may have played in for an event or based on your index. The more tournaments you play in the more chances you have to get into the Points Cup Tournament.

25-2/1 Ball Bounces Out of Its Pitch-Mark and Spins Back into It

Q. A player's ball lands in soft ground in a closely mown area through the green, bounces out of its pitch-mark and then spins back into the pitch-mark. Is the player entitled to relief under Rule 25-2?

A. Yes. If a ball spins back into its pitch-mark, it is embedded in the pitch-mark.
